Video Color Correction

Posted on

This is an example of white balance color correction that was needed for a tutorial video. The footage was muddy and dark and we lost color and detail in the violin. I used a lumetri color effect on the clip. A white color picker was used on the white table to set the levels for white balance. I then adjusted the temperature till the bluish tone disappeared leaving a more neutral white. Then in the curves tab, I brought up the mid tones till the table appeared as white as possible while still being able to make out the wood grain in the table. I left the shadows and dark tones alone as they retained their integrity.
